WHO WE ARE

Shushinkan Aikikai Argentina is a non-profit entity that constitutes our Aikido School.

Our goal is to teach, practice, and spread Aikido in accordance with the principles and legacy of our teacher, Sensei Yoshimitsu Yamada (1938–2023), following the guidelines of the Aikido Central House of Japan (Hombu Dojo) and with the aim of preserving the teachings of the Founder O’Sensei Morihei Ueshiba (1883–1969).

Founded on October 3, 1998 (originally called Kouma Dojo, then West Aikikai), it has a Technical Committee and an Evaluation Committee, in order to preserve the Art in a traditional manner and with a high technical level.

The directors of the Shushinkan Aikikai are direct students of Yamada Yoshimitsu Sensei: José Luis Caló, 6th Dan Aikikai (president), Ezequiel Mingione, 6th Dan Aikikai (vice president), Julio Fontana, 5th Dan Aikikai (vocal), Jorge Francos (vocal), 5th Dan Aikikai and Diego Ferro, 5th Dan Aikikai (vocal).
