Tenchi nage (天土投げ)
Ten: fig. sky.
Chi: fig. earth.
Nage: projection.
Sky-to-Earth Projection: Tori enters sweeping with one hand below – earth – and the other above – sky – to unbalance uke and be able to knock him down easily.
One of uke's arms is controlled and projected towards the ground, while the free arm is directed towards his face or neck, resembling an atemi or simply as a gesture to unbalance him.In this position, when Tori penetrates Uke's center, he should be able to easily throw it. During the projection, Tori's arms take the form of an arc.
